Customs and border checkpoints rely on non-contact body screening to identify items that travelers are not allowed to carry across the border. Millimeter-wave body scanners help officers spot prohibited goods. Undeclared goods, such as large quantities of electronics, alcohol, or other restricted items, can also be quickly detected without disrupting passenger flow. These systems support routine inspections as well as anti-smuggling efforts, giving frontline staff a clearer and more efficient way to handle high traffic at ports of entry.
Zhuhai Hengqin Port Border Inspection
Zhuhai Hengqin Port is one of the key border crossings in the Greater Bay Area. After a detailed on-site evaluation, Zhuhai Customs selected our first-generation HBS-7800 walk-through millimeter-wave body scanner and began using it at both Gongbei Port and Hengqin Port starting on April 3, 2024.
By early 2025, we launched the HBS-1310 walk through security scanner, the upgraded model to replace the HBS-7800 series. The new scanner shortens inspection time and improves detection accuracy. Its performance has been well received by customs officers, who noted smoother operations and more efficient passenger processing after deployment.
